We are looking for a passionate and inspiring musician and teacher who is committed to making a real difference in children's lives. This role is perfect for someone who believes in the power of music to engage, motivate, and build confidence in young learners. You will bring energy creativity and enthusiasm into the classroom, inspiring a love of music and learning in Primary aged children through fun inclusive and high-quality lessons.

Deliver weekly music lessons full School day 8:30 am to 330/4:30 pm during term time.

Teach Nursery to Year 6 children.

Follow Musical Voices' curriculum which has a singing focused approach to learning.

Use Musical Voices' online resources, instruments and props.

Lead Singing Assemblies, choirs and after-school clubs as required.

Follow Musical Voices free training programme.

Essential
-
A strong music background (degree in music or equivalent experience).
-
Experience in classroom teaching or working with children in a teaching role (schools, tutoring, workshops, or similar).

Confidence leading whole class sessions.
Desirable
-
Teaching qualification (e.g. QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
-
Experience teaching in primary schools.
-
Experience working with disadvantaged children and children with SEND.

Strong vocal skills and music ability, and the confidence to lead singing assemblies.

Excellent classroom management skills and knowledge of appropriate management strategies.
-
Able to deliver fast paced, energetic and engaging lessons.

Knowledge of routines in the Primary classroom.

Accessibility to engage and inspire Primary School children.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Confidence in the classroom.
-
Competent ICT skills, knowledge to solve problems and adapt when necessary.

A good knowledge of the National Curriculum for Music, the Model Music Curriculum and awareness of Kodàly and Dalcroze inspired curriculums.

Being aware of and making provisions for pupils who have individual needs
